Please note that there is no relation between the Axon
from Audio Damage and this one.
"Since my company isn't some fly-by-night operation, we do a great deal of research before deciding on a name. "Axons" doesn't show up in
a KvR search (the de-facto clearing house for all plug-ins, as we all know); we searched for every possible permutation of the word as it relates to plug-ins
here on KvR, and did a thorough search for the name as it appears on Google.
I'll admit that it didn't occur to me to search the plural on Google,
and for that I apologize. In English, the word "Axons" doesn't really make sense
when applied to a singular thing. It'd be like calling a single
dog "my pets." I'm not making any excuses; just stating the grammatical reason
why I didn't think to search for it. It wasn't our intention to steal any name;
if we were going to steal one, we'd steal a name that ensured sales,
like "Autechre" or "Massive" or "Make Your Cock Bigger." It wouldn't make
a lot of sense to steal the name of a little-known (no offense) free plug-in,
now, would it? - Chris Randall "
They have chosen to take a really closer name without
check before or ask our opinion.

Note to FL Studio users :
Make sure the setting "Reset plugins on transport" in the audio
options is disabled for optimal performance.

How To Install It ?
Drop the DLL into the VST folder. Call it from your VST host.

CPU Safe Tip :
- generally, setting knobs to min or max value saves CPU
- long EG release maintains CPU higher

Requirements :
- SSE CPU
- MS WINDOWS 2000, XP or VISTA (32bits)

Important info for multi core users :
While single instances of these VSTs should work well with dual core machines, some hosts may have problems with multiple instances. For example, if Cubase's multi processor support is enabled, it will lock up when loading a project that has more than one instance of the same plugin of mine. Others have reported the same issue in Live. Jeff McClintock, the creator of SynthEdit (the program I use to make my VSTs) is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Once Jeff has the SynthEdit update ready, I will release an update to all my VSTs to fix this.

In the meantime, three possible workarounds for this problem are:

- Turn off the multi processor support setting in your host
when you need multiple instances of AXONS.

- Freeze the first instance before loading the second.
(Especially if your host has an 'unload while frozen' option.)

- Duplicate the DLL with a different name, like axon2.dll |
